This petition asks that gun control legislation also address the root cause of violence, namely: inadequate mental health care for our nations population of people suffering from all sorts of issues that do not allow them to function in society; bullying that gives children no way out; and programs that serve special needs individuals. If we can pair responsible regulation of firearms and treatment / education programs them we can severely dent future violence.
