The US healthcare industry makes exorbitant profits. The sick, those dealing with cancer, those without insurance pay sky high rates for heath services whereby many people become bankrupt. There are countless lobbyists defending the status quo. Time magazine's special report, March 4, 2013 does a spectacular job capsulizing the way the health care business sets prices & thereby profits. We need to correct & solve health care costs in the US by taking sweeping action to change the healthcare marketplace now. Other countries have solved this issue, the time is now for the US to solve this problem.
