Make sweeping changes to the U.S. postal service including: eliminate package delivery allowing private sector expansion

Created by R.L. on September 01, 2012

The U.S. Postal service was designed to provide a service that no other company at the time could provide. Times have changed and we now have multiple companies providing the same service and the Post Office is allowing a government agency to compete with the private sector. It's time to slowly dismantle the Postal Service and allow free enterprise to flourish.
A slow approach would insure pensions and insurance to remain in place for retirees. Shedding package delivery first, then letter delivery (allowing for more on-line use of email) and finally advertisements. Downsize by attrition ( freeze hiring and don't replacing workers that retire, quit or get fired) and we will not create joblessness.
