Make tax-exempt the first $50,000 of net income earned by a self-employed person.

Created by J.P. on April 11, 2013

The state of North Carolina recently made the first $50,000 of net income earned by a self-employed person tax-exempt.

Federal tax policy should be altered similarly, and should include ALL taxes, social security, medicare, etc, that are paid by the self-employed or 1099 contractors.

This would be a huge benefit to local and national economies.
