Clearly something is not right when people commit suicide and homicide over their taxes and it takes days of work to complete them and few people understand them. People lose their property and their homes partly because of confussion and complexity. To do it correctly people must hire an accountant. It is time to bring taxes to the present day and use innovative people to make it a simple rather than difficult task. Programs might also be created for preparing high school students and the general public to educate them on tax preparation. An additional idea is to have libraries designate some computers for tax preparation so that tax programs can be downloaded and additional computer time is allowed for persons using public computers for tax preparation.
