Teaching students about consensual sex, how to recognize what is and isn't consent, and informing them from an impressionable age that engaging in sexual acts without obtaining consent from one's partner(s) is rape, and illegal, is extremely important if we want a future with fewer rapists and rapes. If we ever want to stop living in a society where rape is so common it's not newsworthy, we need to teach the younger generation about it and how to stop it.
