There are a number of cases where video is available to compare to a police officer's report and the video and they do not match. Additionally, police officers have been involved in DARE teaching at schools, often the first contact with a child and police, in which they present inaccurate information regarding drugs and their effects / dangers which most of the children know are lies during the presentation. These two facts, plus the number of police shootings of unarmed people, make the testimony of police officers meaningless. This act will assert to a jury that the testimony of a police officer should be given no additional weight to evidence than any other witness to an event.
