I believe that texting and driving should be a federal law because 9 people are killed and more than 1,153 people are injured each day due to texting and driving, not to mention the amount of property damage that occurs during these accidents. I believe that if you are caught texting and driving, you will be fined, but if you kill or injure someone while texting and driving, you should be charged with jail/prison time.
