Make texting and driving illegal.

Each year more people are killed due to texting and driving then drinking and driving. According to a NY Times article texting is more hazardous to not only the person driving but to other passengers on the road, then drinking and driving. So if drinking and riving is illegal by law it makes perfect sense in the world to make texting and driving illegal as well. No emergency text is worth putting yourself and other people in harms way, but people are still doing it and causing trauma that could have been avoided. This needs to stop because if it isn't more people are going to die or end up in a wheelchair. So please contribute to the issue at hand by signing this petition in order to help ensure the American people safety on the road.
