For too long our nation cellular phone carriers have unfairly charged their customers for text messaging. They offer limited choices, exaggerated rates and are unwilling to compromise.
A text message operates on a different frequency than a phone call and takes up nearly no bandwidth. In times of emergency or natural disasters when the phones lines are busy many carriers, government and state officials etc recommend using text. So why do the big carriers gauge us for something so small?
It's time to end this unfair practice and open up unlimited text messaging for free or at least a fair flat rate (ie $5/mo unlimited).
