Toll roads are pointless and result in a negative effect on the economy and well-being of US citizens. Every US citizen pays taxes that go to support the US infrastructure. Hard-working Americans rely on roads and highways to get to work, visit their families, and enjoy the vast greatness of this country. These are liberties that every American should enjoy without the hassle and inefficiency of stopping to pay an additional fee.
The need for toll roads to fund public infrastructure points at a larger underlying problem of the failure of government to properly budget for the needs of society. I urge the federal government to make toll roads illegal as they violate the basic rights granted in the constitution: Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.
