make unlawful the influence & actions of the American Legislative Exchange Council (A.L.E.C.) in state and federal law.

Created by H.J. on July 07, 2013

The American Legislative Exchange Council (A.L.E.C.) is a conservative corporate front group, operating as a tax -exempt 501(c)(3), "charitable" organization. Comprised of conservative lawmakers, corporations, & conservative special interest groups, A.L.E.C. is writing much of our legislation. Corporations & special interest groups author model bills then present them to lawmakers at A.L.E.C. taskforce meetings, where all 3 entities vote on the model bills' passage. Much of the unpopular education reform legislation (merit pay, increased high-stakes testing, school choice vouchers, etc.) were corporate-crafted, A.L.E.C. bills. In turn, A.L.E.C. legislators receive lavish A.L.E.C.-funded junkets at swanky 5-star hotels & campaign contributions. This is NOT representation & MUST STOP!
