The United States is one of three countries that do not have paid maternity leave. The other two being papa new guinea and swaziland. Russia even has 3 years of paid maternity leave! We owe it to the mothers of this country who are the care givers to the next generation, the care they deserve. We are giving the women of this country the idea that motherhood is unimportant, and that they must make every sacrifice for their job when they should be concentrating on making themselves and their new baby healthy first. Help the US make the list of countries with paid maternity leave. Help women and children everywhere get the help they deserve! Help our countries next generation THRIVE!
