We need our government to take the Metric System standard and implement it in all American's daily routines or it will never succeed. One standard that will improve our position in global markets down to time for educators to teach one system of units allowing more time for other important education needs.
While most Americans have studied metric units at school, metric use remains low in daily life. Speed limits are almost always in miles per hour and road signs usually give distances in miles or feet. Automobiles already have metric ready instrument panels.
TV weather reports are given in Fahrenheit for temperatures, miles/hour for windspeed, inches of mercury for air pressure, instead of millibars, and other customary units.
Require these basic changes so all can move to use metric.
