The Vision of the USS Kitty Hawk Aircraft Carrier as a permanent museum in Pensacola, FL is a Nationwide initiative. Too much of our history has been sunk and scrapped due to financial, and other constraints. The majority of the current ships are WWII era. There are very few exhibits, memorials for post WWII and their are NO SUPER CARRIER museums any where in the world. It is important that we embrace the Kitty Hawk and give her a permanent home. This is not just for Kitty Hawk crew, but for every post WWII Sailor and Marine!
