Currently the Veterans' Administration covers the costs relating to injured Veterans getting assistance/companion dogs for the blind, or the amputees, etc...but returning Veterans suffering from PTSD who are helped in their recovery by companion dogs are on their own when it comes to actually being given access to the program.
The V.A. needs to step up and consider PTSD as a legitimate service-related injury as is loss of limb, etc.
These patriots/heroes deserve and have earned every type of support we can provide to assist them in returning to "normal" life.
