It has been suggested by a presidential candidate to make voting day a holiday so more people would be able to vote without having to take time off from work or voting late in the day. Making voting day coincide with Veteran's Day would make it unnecessary to create a new federal holiday and accomplish the same. There should be little or no cost to institute this change and it would also be a wonderful way to honor veteran's. .
