Make voting day in Presidential elections a national holiday. Americans should have the day off to ensure enough time.

With the recent voter suppression laws that have been introduced by various state legislatures around the country, it has become clear that some people in this country will do what ever they have to to suppress the vote of as many people as possible. For that reason, and others, I am petetioning the Obama Administration to assist in making voting day in national elections a federal holiday. There have been thousands of horror stories of people standing in line, waiting to vote for 8 -9 hours. Americans should have the day off to make sure they are able to cast their vote, and also assist people in the community by organizing, mobilizing, transportation, etc. Americans deserve to have this day off in order to offer their voice to the country.
