Make voting a requirement for all eligible US citizens.

Created by K.S. on March 31, 2014

The United States of America is a democracy that is failing because of its citizens. 40% of American citizens did not vote in the last election; that's over 90 million people. The reasons range from difficulty registering to simple pessimism regarding our country's current state. They don't vote because they believe nothing will change; an unfortunate self-fulfilling prophesy.

Imagine how different our world would be if those 90 million+ people - many of them young and poor, those most in need of their government's care and those destined to inherit the country they've previously had no say in managing - voted.
