We the people ask the federal government to Take or explain a position on an issue or policy:

Make voting results available to the people. Provide a receipt showing the vote given to each voter.

Created by B.T. on November 03, 2016

The voters have a right to see each vote cast. While the voter has a right to see each vote cast they do NOT have a right to see what other people voted. I would like to know what vote was cast for me and I would like to be able to query the votes tabulated. Voters should get a receipt at the polls and be able to verify that their vote was tabulated correctly. A read only database of votes cast and the ability to see your own vote is the only way theat transparency for elections can be provided. I should be able to query the database by precinct and be able to march the official totals. The only way we have accountability and transparency is if this is done.
