Make water a basic human right and make it illegal for water companies to turn it off.

We as human being need access to water. It has become a vital part of our lives and one we cannot live without. So why is it private companies seek to profit from basic human rights to water? Many European countries have already seen this and taken steps from making it illegal to shut peoples water off to making the service free. Why in American the greatest country in the world do we have families going without water children that don't have access to water. It's absurd that Americans have to choice some months between food or water bill. I know it will never be free, but it needs to be made illegal for companies to shut off water to families, the elderly, and the disabled.
