Make We the People a more useful website!

Created by G.B. on March 30, 2014

Responses are not dated, and finding open petitions is difficult in the best situations.

Responses typically come in the form of "Yes, you made a petition, let's tell you about that thing you made a petition for. It is uncommon to see any actual results or policy positions come from a We the People petition.

Exceptions include a day off for federal employees once, and a tongue in cheek response to build a death star.

Responses aren't dated, and many are simply titled "Why we can't comment" or something akin to that. When petitions actually reach 100,000 signatures, people actually expect to be treated with respect, and possibly have some new insight on a situation.

Some of us come to this site because Congress is ineffective. We don't want the Executive to mimic that behavior.
