Whereas the media has intruded into personal privacy by posting the information of those that have handgun permits following the Sandy Hook tragedy, We the people petition President Obama to bring legislation to protect the identities of lawful firearm owners. Legislation should make firearm owner information information go from public information to as needed. Firearm owners information should only be accessible by Law enforcement and Government Agencies unless a well filed and documented need for the information is presented.
