If we don't have the right to control our own bodies, what else really matters?
Our mothers and grandmothers fought to give us reproductive freedom. They thought the fight had been won, but no. Today we fight yet again to retain our basic rights, and it must end here, with us, so that our daughters need not fight this battle yet again. We must ensure unhindered access to contraception, honest reproductive education, and abortion. Women must be guaranteed, now and in the future, the right to decide what is best for their lives, bodies, and futures. It is the only way women can truly live out their full potential as human beings. No one questions men's right to control their bodies and futures -- let's ensure no one ever questions women's right to those same things again.
