President Obama and homeland security said they would change the rule on the 601 waiver for spouses of citizens with children so they could file within the United States instead of in their own country. This would save time away from their children as the law states that there is a 3-10 year ban if the 601 waiver is not accepted for re-entry into the United States. This was announced in January of 2012 and is still in limbo... Another promise broken??
