The misguided spending due to criminalization of drug use is not only futile but ruins lives instead of helping. Addiction is the real problem. Why not be logical and put the money towards helping individuals instead of hurting? I understand the money flows to DEA, Prison Industrial Complex, etc would have to be disrupted BUT that is not a good reason to destroy instead of healing lives. This is supposed to be the Land of the Free. Remember Liberty? My beautiful America has become corrupt with greed and is not being governed properly. This would be one small step to show that our Government still cares for people more than money, if in fact, that is true.
