The good neighbor next door program is a wonderful program however, What about the Volunteer Firefighters that risk their life everyday for no recognition? No pay!!! and now no help from the government either!.
Our Volunteers are always ready to lend a helping hand. They wake up at all hours of the night, good weather, bad weather, holidays etc...to help their community. Volunteers risk their lives with their own family at home waiting and praying for them, just to be told that you have to get paid full time to get housing assistance. Why is that? I think the government needs to look at people who do it cause they love it and not to be paid!!!!!
They need help too.I await your reply, thoughts, and ideas on changing this program for volunteer firefighters. After all who deserves it more.
