Mr. President, many times I have heard how much you care for our environment and wish to stop or help to slow down climate change.
Here is a chance to make some real change. I cannot even begin to count how many times I have seen a government owned vehicle sitting and idling, burning away gasoline and producing emissions all the while doing nothing.
If the entire government used electric vehicles this would put a giant dent in both the consumption of fuel (gasoline diesel) and take a step toward curbing harmful emissions into environment.
Further helping this cause the mandate could require that the next "phase" of this would be that all these electric vehicles be charged by solar energy.
It may not be feasible to change over all vehicles, but at least this will be a start
