Cycling is becoming more & more popular in our country for transportation, health, and sport. Many automobile drivers express the opinion that cyclists have no right to be on the roads. This belief is possibly from a lack of education on cycling laws and the rights of cyclists. Cyclists today are not only facing road rage & neglect from motorists, but also unsafe road conditions where there is no shoulder for the cyclists to safely ride. There are so many benefits to increasing driver awareness such as reducing accidents and increasing the likelihood of more citizens riding their bikes both improving health and the environment. If you were to ask any cyclist, you will most likely find that they have been victim of taunting, honking, yelling, and close calls. Drastic action & reform needed.
