Mandate that all individuals holding public office be required to send their school-aged dependents to a public school.

Until those we elect are forced to send their children to public schools, the underfunding of education and scapegoating of teachers will continue. Every public school should be a magnet school. They won't be until every politician who wishes to hold elected office is compelled to send their children to a public school in the area in which they reside.
