Mandate that ALL jurisdictions that receives Federal Tax Dollars participate in a NATIONAL Police Officer Registry.

To insure that corrupt, dangerous and/or unqualified police officers are not allowed to hide their record and obtain employment in different cities or states a National Law Enforcement Registry must be created. ANY jurisdiction that receives Federal Tax Dollars must be required to verify all CURRENT employees and FUTURE applicants via the registry. Furthermore, all citizen complaints, corrective actions, investigations and judgments listed against ALL employees MUST be added to this registry. IF TRUCK DRIVERS are required to have a federal registry listing this information HOW MUCH MORE SHOULD OUR Local, State and Federal LAW ENFORCEMENT Professionals be held to the same standard? Police Officers have the power of life and death. Shouldn't they only be represented by the BEST OF THE BEST?
