Portable surveillance equipment is becoming small, lightweight, and increasingly affordable. I see many Law Enforcement Officers wearing small clip on cameras, even some built in to the shoulder mic's they were already wearing. These devices are already in use by Police Officers in some areas - so why not ALL areas?
Police Brutality and Violation of Civil Rights cases are on the rise. In any Courtroom in America a Police Officer's testimony is going to be given more consideration than that of an every day citizen. The only time it is not is when there is sufficient evidence to prove otherwise. Unfortunately the abuse exists even when the proof does not.
Therefore we demand ACCOUNTABILITY. The technology is available and it would be NEGLIGENT NOT TO ACT.
