Mandate all members of congress to receive health coverage through Medicaid over the course of their term of office.

Created by P.R. on April 16, 2015

The United States health care system is flawed, and those comprising marginalized communities within our country are the ones who experience firsthand these deficiencies. The majority of policymakers in the United States have NOT experienced the unique barriers to health care that Medicaid coverage presents to millions of American families. To address the shortcomings of Medicaid, policymakers should have firsthand experience with what it is like to be insured through Medicaid. Such experience may provide policymakers with insight and motivation to adequately and promptly address the issues plaguing Medicaid, ultimately increasing the quality of care received by those in underserved communities.
