Mandate that all new Federal building construction utilize solar paneled parking lots. As well as any renovation of Federal property that requires a new parking lot.
Investing in infrastructure in this manor creates jobs, saves on energy consumption, is environmentally responsible, and leads the way for possible construction of a national interstate system of solar roadways. Such a system will ween us off of fossil fuels forever. The Federal Highway Administration has already taken an interest in solar roadways¹, It is time to move forward and invest in our nation through innovative technology.
