The Office of the President, and the House and Senate if needed, shall mandate that all products purchased by the General Services Administration (GSA) be made, packaged, and shipped by companies with premises and employees in the US.
The "GSA leverages the buying power of the federal government to secure, in the most cost-effective, transparent, and sustainable manner possible, the goods, services, and real property that the civilian federal government needs to operate". If the buying power of the GSA was put into the US economy more than it is today, it would be one more step put forward to recovering the US economy.
The only exception to this mandate would be if a product was not made in the United States, then the most cost effective purchase from an allied nation shall be made.
