Mandate that all schools must have a course that teaches compassion, understanding, and acceptance of differences.

Created by K.D. on January 14, 2013

Every school should teach children compassion, and acceptance of others. This is what is lacking. The only reason that religion in schools helps is because most religion teaches these objectives. It would not be widely accepted to teach religion, or prayer, in schools because it would be difficult to teach all religions and only one religion will still bread contempt, misunderstandings, fanaticism, and ignorance of the rest.

Tolerance of other people's differences, compassion, and social education is what is missing. Please make it mandatory that all schools teach children at a certain age (between 2nd and 6th grades) to be tolerant and compassionate towards one another.
