Studies have show that Arts Education actually helps a student focus more in their academic classes. It also helps students with a mental illness or mental retardation as it is a way for them to express themselves and learn to concentrate. The No Child Left Behind act actually mandates Arts Education and a Core adacemic subject(s). If we keep allowing schools to take out the Arts Education we are allowing schools to take the creativity out of our children. The creativity that may someday invent something to change the world, or the next big artist, or stopping them from finding their passion.
