For far too long, cable and satellite providers have been offering subscription packages with a ridiculous number of channels included, most of which no one cares to watch, for a outrageous monthly fee.
It is time that the consumer is offered more from these providers. We ask that you mandate that cable and satellite providers start offering packages where the customer can either pick the channels that they wish to watch and pay a fee per channel, or choose a package that includes a small group of channels for a pre-determined fee.
These providers are stealing money from the American people. No one should be forced to pay upwards of $80 a month or more for a package of more than 100 channels when in reality only a handful of the channels are desired.
