This year 41 children have died after being neglected by their own parents, from being left in a hot vehicle. Even if the temperature outside is 70 degrees, the inside of a vehicle can reach 130 degrees. The common denominator from the parents are "they forgot" their child was there. We demand there be stricter guidelines on car seat manufacturers to equip seats with some type of alarm or alert system, to notify parents or 911 that a child has been forgotten in a vehicle. These deaths are 100% preventable, so why is nothing being done to prevent them?
