Mandate that, in the case of "spree" and school shootings, the murderer's photo and name be kept out of the media.

The main objective for those who have committed "spree" and school shootings has been for them to achieve instant fame and notoriety. At present, the media feeds this sick desire by plastering the names and images of these insane people all over television, print media, and social media. This not only fulfills the warped needs of these murderers, but inspires others to copy -- and better the "score" -- of those who have committed the same type of crime. It is not essential to free speech to encourage insane people to commit increasingly horrendous crimes. Let potential murderers of this sort know that they will only be guaranteed obscurity.
