MANDATE CIVILIAN OVERSIGHT, BODY CAMERAS, AND MODERNIZED TRAINING/HIRING CRITERIA FOR ALL STATE/LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT

Created by B.M. on November 30, 2014

Life and Liberty - the most precious of all American capital. Law enforcement's corruptible power to complicate, derail, and destroy the lives and liberties of Americans (especially minorities) is unconstitutional and systemically unsustainable.

The power and authority to administer lethal force should require the highest level of academic, psychological, and social training. The potentially life altering reach of an officers authority can be likened only to that of surgeon. Contemporary policing is far from surgical. Until law enforcement learns to distinguish law abiding citizens from criminals, we propose nationwide: Civilian Oversight, Police Body Cameras, and Revised Hiring/Training Criteria for all state/local law enforcement.
