At present, airport checks are required of all passengers. As long a security checks are required to enter secured airport areas, these checks and the lines created should not be influenced by the airlines themselves. The creation of separate lines should be restricted to factors which directly affect security: those with preexisting and verifiable security clearance -- clearly marked with the type of security documents allowed (e.g., federal IDs, military IDs, employee credentials). To the point, the amount one pays for an airline ticket, or whether one has earned an airline bonus for frequent trips should not influence channeling for security. This practice completely undermines the notion of shared sacrifice to maintain security and must stop.
