Mandate community service hours to all able-bodied persons receiving welfare.

Created by M.L. on March 10, 2013

Those who receive welfare or unemployment checks and are not disabled should still have to work for their living. The dollar amount of the checks they receive would be based on the amount of hours of community service they complete, as well as the importance and difficulty of the position. This would allow those who cannot find a job and truly need financial assistance to still earn their pay, as well as gain job experience in various fields. It would also deter those who can find work but choose not to, from applying for assistance and living off the working members of society.

Their income is tax payer funded and they should be held to the same standards as any government employee. To include bi-monthly drug testing and regulations on fraud, waste, and abuse.
