Mandate that companies produce uniform USB cables and devices that will be adaptable to all products to eliminate waste.

Consumers in America have to purchase or possess multiple USB cables for all their electronic needs due to the fact that companies create cables that are not compatible for all devices. Companies that produce USB cables for there devices do so to create a slight extra revenue at the expense of the environment and the budget of the American public. Having a uniform cable for all devices, such as the AC plugs that are used for power, would greatly cut down on the electronic and recycling waste that is manufactured in the United States and worldwide.
