mandate that Congressional salaries are no higher than the median household income of the state in which they represent.

Created by K.S. on December 28, 2012

Today President Obama decided to give Congress a pay raise. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? (This is bi-partisan outrage). We're all broke; we're all tired; we're all scared; and we are all fighting each other over political views that seem smaller in comparison to our country's massive debt. You get a pay raise when you do your job well; which these Congressmen/women have obviously not. You get a pay raise for seniority; to the senior members: Thank you for your continued contribution to the debt. You get a pay raise when you're a valuable asset to the company (America) you work for; you are certainly not valuable. So why a raise? Especially when your salaries are at minimum nearly three times that of the highest median household income by state in the country.
