Mandate curriculum in elementary schools to teach children proper nutrition and healthy habits.

Created by M.R. on February 24, 2013

While parents should teach their kids how to eat right & be healthy, not all can or know how. If we require all elementary schools to provide courses on proper nutrition & healthy habits, we'd establish a foundation to reduce obesity rates & other health issues, making us stronger as individuals & as a nation.

The earlier in life someone develops healthy habits, the more likely the habits are to stick & be passed on. If we mandate the teaching of curricula for our elementary school kids on proper nutrition, ways to enjoy physical activity, how to select/prepare healthy foods, etc., we could reshape the health of America for generations to come.

Each state could create its own plan, but the federal mandate would ensure no child in America would go without this essential life knowledge.
