To facilitate students developing a practice of reinforcing the essential American values of liberty, justice, humanity, and security For All during earliest preparation as decision-making American citizens we shall: dispel latent curricular messages of racial hierarchy; use proven approaches to train and teach all instances of curricular and environmental race relations; decisively illuminate why racial discrimination did and continues to occur; move from stating “difference/sameness” to explicit teaching; equip students to holistically identify the presence of and express the consequences of discriminatory actions while building capacity to confront prejudicial behavior; and, convey an unquestionable stance that/ how racial prejudice, discrimination, and bystander apathy was/is wrong.
