Between July 17th and August 11th of 2104, the span of less than a month, four unarmed African American men were killed by police officers in disparate parts of the country. A clear pattern has emerged, and these cannot be considered as isolated incidents. Therefore, we request that the Department of Justice be mandated to investigate every killing of a civilian by an officer of the law that occurs in the United States,during the next ten years, as a possible Color of Law violation.
