Mandate discipline for public officials who discriminate against federal employees or the public they are to serve.

Despite the Notification and Federal Employee Anti-discrimination and Retaliation of 2002 (No FEAR) Act into law, which requires federal agencies be more accountable for violating anti-discrimination and whistleblower protection laws, no mandatory discipline exists for civil rights violations. The Coalition For Change, Inc. (C4C) members petition the President, as Head of the Executive Branch, to via Executive Order “mandate workforce accountability” to include discipline of public officials who violate the civil rights of federal employees or the public. This petition also seeks enhancement to the “vetting process for presidential nominees” by including specific questions to disclose if nominees that are to be appointed to different institutions have engaged in civil rights violations.
