The government needs to mandate drug testing for anyone who receives assistance. If there's a standard to follow in order to work and earn your money, then there should be the same standard to follow in order to recieve assistance. It is not an invasion of privacy because government assistance is a privilege not a right. It does not say in the constitution that anyone is intiltled to be taken care of. Too many people out there use drug addiction as a 'dissability'. Addiction is debilitating, but it is also a choice. Choose to find a program, choose to get clean, and choose to be a productive member of society. Help should be given when it is needed, but the government was not intended to be used as a cruch. It's time we all learn to stand on our own feet.
